Carl E. Swoboda, Sr. Acct Technical Certificate Scholarship

Southwest scholarships are dependent upon availability of funds and may not be awarded every year.

A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application is required for all types of financial aid awarded at Southwest including scholarships. You must complete a FAFSA application even if you do not believe that you are eligible for grant programs.

Carl E. Swoboda, Sr. Acct Technical Certificate Scholarship

One $500 scholarship is available each academic year.

Criteria

  1. The student must be in the last semester of their pursuit of the Accounting Technical Certificate during the academic year of the award.
  2. The student must have maintained at least a 3.0 GPA
  3. The same student cannot win this scholarship and the Elsie Mae Swoboda AAS Acct Computer Concentration Scholarship.
  4. Applicant must have received a high school diploma or a GED to be eligible.

Procedure

Submit application (opens new window) to the Southwest Tennessee Community College Financial Aid Office by March 15.

Selection Process

The Accounting Faculty may nominate students with one name per faculty member. The coordinator of the Accounting Technical Certificate will make the final selection.
