Former All-American Lady Saluqi Ashley Shields made history in 2007 as the first-ever community college player drafted into the WNBA. She won a title with Detroit a year later and went on to enjoy a professional career in Israel, Slovokia and Poland for nearly a decade. Today, she is the new head coach of the Arlington High Lady Tigers basketball team in Arlington, TN.

Former head coach of Mitchell High School, Shields also is a member of the Memphis Sports Amateur Hall of Fame. Congratulations, Ashley!
