Dr. Tracy D. Hall selected as 2024 Memphis Business Journal Power 100 Leader

Congratulations to Southwest Tennessee Community College President Tracy D. Hall, who was selected as a 2024 Memphis Business Journal (MBJ) Power 100 Leader for the fourth consecutive year. 

Dr. Hall received her award during the Power 100 awards ceremony Feb. 1 at the Orpheum Theatre.

The Power 100 highlights Memphis’ most influential leaders in various fields. Each year, the MBJ editorial team vets and selects power players who are making important decisions that lead to lasting, positive change in the local community. 

MBJ’s profile of Dr. Hall included the following: 

Tracy Hall has been president of Southwest Tennessee Community College since 2015, the first woman to hold the position. She’s passionate about the mission of community colleges and increasing opportunities for urban students. Prior to joining Southwest, she served as the VP of Academic Affairs at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park and as associate dean of instruction at Metropolitan Community College – Penn Valley in Kansas City. She has served on a number of local and national boards, including the Greater Memphis Chamber, the Memphis Medical District Collaborative, The American Association of Community Colleges, the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, and the Memphis Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
