Financial Aid Priority Deadlines
Students must submit all documents by the priority deadline date in order to guarantee that their files will be processed and awarded for the following semester.
The 2022-23 financial aid priority dates are listed below.
- Fall 2022: July 1, 2022
- Spring 2023: December 1, 2022
- Summer 2023: May 1, 2023
Southwest Tennessee Community College Federal School Code is 010439. Submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.fafsa.ed.gov This is the fastest and easiest way to apply for financial aid. Remember missing the priority deadline may delay your financial aid award.
FAFSA Online applications for the 2022-2023 aid year must be submitted by midnight Central Standard Time (CST), June 30, 2023.
Tennessee State Assistance Award (TSAA)
Prior-year recipients receive award, if eligible and complete the FAFSA by February 1 every year. All other awards are made to the neediest applicants until funds are depleted.
Tennessee Promise (TN Promise)
Complete the FAFSA by February 1, yearly.
Tennessee Reconnect (TN Reconnect)
Complete the FAFSA by September 1 to be eligible for the Fall semester and by February 1 to be eligible for the Spring and Summer semesters each calendar year.
Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarship (TELS) Program
Complete the FAFSA for Fall term by September 1, 2022 midnight, Central Standard Time (CST); Spring & Summer terms by February 1, 2023 midnight, Central Standard Time (CST).
Please Note: For students who are eligible for state aid, Southwest's school code (010439) must be the first school listed on your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can transfer your award to Southwest, which is an eligible postsecondary institution, by following the directions at Adding Southwest to Your FAFSA for TSAC Payments.
